Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Recall Cards app (the "App") handles. The App is developed by an independent developer (the "Developer").

1. Summary

Recall Cards does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. The App works fully offline and does not require an account. All your decks, cards and review progress stay on your device.

2. Information the App stores on your device

To work, the App stores the following locally on your device only:

• The decks and cards you create, including the text you write.
• Your review progress for each card (for example how many times you remembered it).
• Your chosen language and your last review-size setting.

This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself (see section 4).

3. Information we do not collect

The App does not collect or send:

• Name, email address, phone number or any account information.
• Location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data.
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage analytics.
• Crash reports sent to a server.

The App contains no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking libraries.

4. Backup files

The App can export your data to a backup file (JSON) and import it back. You choose where to save the file, and you are responsible for keeping it safe. The Developer has no access to these files. If you share a backup file with someone, that person will have access to the content it contains.

5. Permissions

The App does not request any sensitive permissions. Exporting and importing backups use the standard file picker of your device, which only gives the App access to the file you select.

6. Children

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is suitable for all ages.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual decks or cards inside the App, or remove all data by uninstalling the App. Since no data is stored on our servers, there is nothing to delete remotely.

8. Security

Because your data stays on your device, its security depends on your device protection (screen lock and device encryption). We recommend keeping your device protected and keeping backup files in a safe place.

9. Changes to this policy

If the App's behaviour changes in a way that affects your data (for example, if advertising is added), this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will be revised.
